creating space for embodiment, reflection and change.

Hi, I’m Michelle (she/they)

Making space for reflection, change and becoming

My work is rooted in embodiment, reflection and the belief that slowing down can create space for something new to emerge.

Informed by 30 years of embodied yoga practice, 15 years of Buddhist meditation and training in therapeutic and reflective approaches, I offer spaces for rest, exploration and meaningful change. Sometimes that means turning towards the body. Sometimes it means sitting with what is difficult, making sense of our experiences, or simply creating enough space to notice what is happening.

I don't believe we need to constantly improve, optimise or become a better version of ourselves. I’m more interested in what becomes possible when we slow down, pay attention and meet ourselves with curiosity and compassion.

What I offer (all online)

Wintering (now underway)
A six-month journey with yoga nidra through the darker half of the year, offering space for reflection, rest and companionship through winter and other seasons of change.

Reading Ourselves
Books for Being Human. An online reading space exploring books that invite us to think more deeply about ourselves, our relationships and the world we inhabit.

Ayurvedic Health Counselling
Trauma-informed one-to-one support drawing on Ayurveda, yoga, meditation, nutrition, lifestyle, herbs and rest, with an emphasis on sustainable change rather than quick fixes.

Feeding Your Demons & Mandala Method
Reflective Buddhist-inspired shadow-work practices for meeting difficult emotions, patterns and parts of ourselves with curiosity and compassion.

Opting Out
My newsletter exploring attention, burnout culture, nature, consumption and the possibility of living differently.

TEND, my seasonal yoga and community membership, is now closed.

A little about me

I’m a queer, lay-ordained Buddhist and practitioner with a background in yoga, meditation, Ayurveda, sound therapy and therapeutic approaches. My work is trauma-informed, collaborative and grounded in inclusion, accessibility and the understanding that our inner lives don't exist separately from the wider world.

I’m in my late 40s, a lifelong reader, lover of live music and walker of the Sussex coast. I work part-time so that I can home educate my son and build a life with enough space in it to actually live. I can often be found petting random cats in the street, practising Middle Eastern drumming or knitting one of my many ongoing projects.

I believe in collective liberation: that our individual lives are connected to the lives of others, and that the work we do within ourselves can ripple outwards into how we relate to our communities and the wider world.

All my offerings are online, and I’m committed to keeping them as accessible as possible, including through inclusive pricing and financial support where I can.

Find out more about me or get in touch if you’d like to talk about how we might work together.
